CNC stands for "Computer Numerical Control" and has been around since the
early 1970's. Prior to this, it was called NC, for Numerical Control. (In the early 1970's computers were introduced to these controls, hence the
name change.) While many people have never heard of this term, CNC has touched almost every form of manufacturing process. If you'll be working in
manufacturing, it's likely that you'll be dealing with CNC on a regular basis. CNC Services began in response to customer service requests for their CNC machine tools. Jim Fleig worked for CNC machine tool manufacturers for 7 years as a traveling field service engineer. Tired of the travel (average 5 1/2 days a week), Jim and Patty choose to have Jim come off the road. Once home, previous customers began calling and requesting service. At first it was thought that this would last a short period of time. However, it has continued steadily and CNC Services will complete its 3rd year 12 / 00. CNC Services offers the following services: calibration (laser), repair, maintenance and buy / sell of CNC equipment.
